Davis Park Beautification Committee
(DPBC)

BACKGROUND

In 2004, the DPA began a serious overhaul of the appearance of main entrance way to the community. Trustees Walk was enlarged by Brookhaven Town, and members of the Davis Park Fire Department and others built benches and numerous planting beds, moved the post office, created a new bulletin board, and built a first irrigation system with DPA funding. Others, led by Frank Petrignani and the Town cleaned out a lot of the gorse, weeds, etc..

In 2005, Linda Spencer volunteered to be the Chair of the Davis Park Beautification Committee (DPBC), and head up planting and logistics in getting volunteer help. Many have volunteered to help. We are hoping to upgrade this list by making an enlarged e-mail contact list for 2006. She will need volunteers on a regular basis.

Note that Brookhaven Town, has been very generous with supplying gardening supplies such as potting soil, many plants, and fertilizer. We hope they will continue.

If you wish to contribute, please make your check out to the DPBC or DPA beautification committee, and send - give to Linda Spencer, or June Haskins, who is the DPA Treasurer.
